A raffle flyer in one click, or your own with the QR code
Every geRaff raffle comes with a flyer ready to print. Or download the QR code and put it in your own design. How to do both, and four checks before you print.
Every paper raffle has a poster on the wall. A sheet by the register, a sign on the break room fridge, a card on the table at the booth. It is the part that actually gets people to enter.
Every raffle on geRaff now comes with one, ready to print.
The easy way: print the flyer
Open your raffle and choose Print flyer. You get a letter-size sheet with your name, your raffle’s title, your prize photo if you added one, and a QR code people scan to enter, with the link printed underneath for anyone who would rather type it. Print it, put it where people walk past, and you are done.
It is free on every plan.
The custom way: download the QR code
Maybe you already have a look. A menu insert, a table tent, a slide on the screen behind the bar, a template your designer made.
Download the QR code on its own and drop it into whatever you are already using. It is the same code as the flyer and it goes to the same entry page.
On the free plan the code carries the geRaff mark in the middle. On a paid plan you can turn that off.
Four checks before you print
- Scan it from where people will stand. A phone reads a QR code from roughly ten times its width. A two-inch code works from about twenty inches away. If it is going on a hallway wall, print it bigger.
- Leave the white border alone. The downloaded file includes a margin of white around the code. Phones need it. Do not crop it off to make the code fit.
- Dark code on a light background. Do not reverse the colors, and do not put it over a photo. Plain and high contrast scans every time.
- Say when it closes. The entry page shows how long is left. If you are making your own design, print the close date and time next to the code too, so people know before they scan.
Printing before entry opens
You can print the flyer before your raffle starts. If someone scans it early, the page tells them when entry opens instead of turning them away. That is how you run three prizes across a weekend: three raffles, three codes, one for each day.
The short version
- Open your raffle, choose Print flyer.
- Or download the QR code and use your own design.
- Scan it from where people will stand before you print a stack.
- Keep the white border, keep it dark on light.
- Say when it closes.
Entering is free. Winning is free. The flyer is free. Go put it on a wall.
