Host Responsibilities

geRaff is a tool for running a raffle. The host decides what to give away, who can enter, and how the prize gets to the winner. geRaff never holds the prize, never takes an entry fee, and is not a party to what the host gives away.
What the host is responsible for
The prize is yours. You decide what to raffle and you are responsible for whether you are allowed to raffle it, including any licence, permit, age restriction or state law that applies to you and to it. A business raffling something it is licensed to sell is doing what it is licensed to do. geRaff does not review prizes and does not approve them.
Delivery, cost to the winner, your participants and your own tax obligations are set out in Section 2 of the Terms of Service.
What geRaff will remove a raffle for
These are about using the tool honestly, not about what the prize is.
- Creating a raffle with no real prize
- Misrepresenting the prize or its value
- Running the same prize on another platform at the same time without saying so
- Using geRaff to collect entrant information for anything other than running the raffle
- Running a raffle for someone else without saying whose prize it is
- Anything illegal under United States federal law or the law that applies to you
Enforcement
geRaff reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove any raffle that violates this policy at any time and without prior notice. Hosts who violate this policy may have their access to the platform revoked.
Entrants who believe a raffle violates this policy may report it by contacting us.
This policy is incorporated by reference into geRaff's Terms of Service. geRaff reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the current policy.
